Granada

Next destination: Granada.

Everybody agrees that Granada is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. There, we can find the most visited monument in Spain: La Alhambra.

With the Generalife and Albayzin quarter it was included in the World Heritage List by UNESCO in 1984.

Washington Irving has a lot to do with the city's fame thanks to his novel "Tales of the Alhambra" (1832). The book includes famous stories about the place, that have helped to grow the legends that already existed about the events that hace taken place in this palace and fortress complex of the Moorish monarchs.

Próxima escapada: Granada.

Según la opinión de todo el mundo, Granada es una de las ciudades más bellas de Europa. Además, allí se encuentra el monumento más visitado de España: La Alhambra.

Junto con el Generalife y el barrio del Albaicín fue nombrada patrimonio de la humanidad por la UNESCO en el año 1984.

Gran parte de la fama mundial de la que goza la ciudad es debida al libro de Washington Irving "Cuentos de la Alhambra" (1832). En él se cuentan famosas historias sobre el lugar, que no han hecho más que contribuir a las leyendas que existen acerca de los acontecimientos ocurridos en esta ciudad palatina.
